Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Travel RN for the Progressive Care Unit in Billings, MT. This 13-week assignment requires 36 hours per week with night shifts and a travel employment type. The RN should have 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and relevant certifications (ACLS/BLS).

The PCU RN will monitor patients requiring close observation, manage IVs and medications, and respond to changes in condition, often working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to various procedures.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 2 years of additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust monitoring equipment and interpret displays.
• Initiate corrective actions based on monitoring data.
