Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Memphis, Tennessee. This PCU travel role requires 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and includes 13-week assignments with 36 hours per week on day shifts.

As a PCU Travel Nurse, you will monitor cardiac patients, administer medications, manage IVs, and operate monitoring equipment. You should be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and handling a fast-paced environment while delivering quality patient care.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience preferred.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust monitoring equipment; interpret electronic data.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring data indicates issues.
