Job summary

TotalMed RN seeks a travel nurse PCU - Progressive Care Unit in Johnson City, Tennessee for a 13-week assignment. This RN will work 36 hours per week on a 12-hour day shift in a busy PCU, caring for patients requiring close monitoring but not ICU level care.

The role emphasizes bedside care, IV starts, dressing changes, medication administration and titration, monitoring vital signs, and rapid response to changes. Strong acute care experience and BLS/ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Travel RN assignment in PCU with 13-week duration.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Monitor and adjust monitoring equipment and interpret displays.
• Initiate action when monitoring indicates adverse changes.
