Job Description

The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is seeking dedicated and skilled Registered Nurses to provide exceptional care to patients requiring intermediate care. This unit is tailored for medical, cardiac, and surgical patients, focusing on a compassionate and team-oriented approach to nursing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough head-to-toe assessments every 6 hours
• Administer various medications, including titration of IV infusions such as Dopamine, Nitro, Heparin, and Cardizem
• Manage advanced skills such as IV insertion, chest tube and CVC management, tracheostomy care, and EKG monitoring
• Document patient care diligently in Meditech and utilize iMobile devices for communication and charting
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to prepare and implement individual patient care plans

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Applicants must possess the following:

• Current RN license
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Cardiac and telemetry experience
• PCU and/or critical care nursing experience preferred
