American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) telemetry role in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The traveled position requires 2 years of PCU or telemetry experience, BLS, ACLS, NIH certifications, and an active NC or compact license.

Shifts are 12 hours (nights), with 36 hours per week and a 13-week assignment. Travelers must meet the 50-mile radius rule and may float between like units as needed, with premium pay and travel reimbursements offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years recent PCU or telemetry nursing experience required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH.
• Must pass EKG exam.
• Pending license not accepted.

Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) telemetry position requiring 2 years of experience, BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.

Responsibilities

• Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment
• Night shifts (3x12 hours), 19:00–07:00
• Patient ratios of 1:4–5
• Every other weekend shifts required
• Must float within scope between like units as needed
• No local candidates accepted; 50-mile radius rule applies
• Royal blue and white scrubs required
• Uses Epic for charting; Epic experience preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO (time off) requests subject to manager's discretion and must be requested with initial consideration
• System limits travelers to 2 consecutive contracts, after which there is a 6-month break required
• Block scheduling requests may be considered
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage may be required
• Supportive team structure in large hospital environment
