Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position requiring both VA or compact RN licensure and EPIC EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a hospital setting
• Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Patient ratios are currently 1:5 with a goal of 1:4
• Assignment duration is flexible, ranging from 14 to 52 weeks
• Unit assignment will be determined based on facility needs following clinical evaluation
• Floating within the same acuity level is required for all travelers
• EPIC EMR is used and prior experience is required
• Duties include providing high-quality nursing care to adult patients with diverse and complex needs typical of a PCU environment
• Holiday time off during Christmas is not approved
• The assignment length may be customized between 14 to 52 weeks based on traveler request and facility approval

Requirements

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Recent experience working in a PCU or similar acute care setting is required
