Qualifications

• Completion of NAACLS Accredited Pathologists Assistant Program.
• ASCP certification or exam-ready with certification prior to start date.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Located within the specified area.
• Prior grossing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accuracy of patient identification on all specimens and perform surgical specimen dissection.
• Provide quality material for histology studies and obtain pathologist input.
• Perform frozen sections and maintain cryostats.
• Dictate gross descriptions and communicate with the team.
• Ensure CAP compliance and update related manuals.
