Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU – Post Anesthesia Care for a 13-week assignment in Washington, DC. The PACU RN will assess recovery, administer post‑operative care, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth handoffs.

Start ASAP for 13 weeks, 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts. Travel compensation with benefits and a dedicated clinical team.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a PACU RN is required.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification is required.
• ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient recovery after anesthesia and surgery.
• Administer medications and treatments per post‑anesthesia nursing standards.
• Coordinate care with the surgical team and other providers.
• Document assessments, treatments, and recovery progress.
• Deliver education to patients and families about discharge guidelines.
