Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled PACU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Saint Louis, MO. The role involves caring for patients recovering from anesthesia, coordinating post-operative care, and collaborating with the surgical team.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a PACU RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients transferring from the operating room and monitor post-anesthesia recovery.
• Monitor vital signs and recovery from anesthesia.
• Administer prescribed meds and treatments per post-anesthesia nursing protocols.
• Document patient assessments, interventions and recovery progress accurately.
• Develop and deliver discharge instructions and patient/family education plans.
• Collaborate with surgical team to ensure comprehensive post-operative care.
