Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel PACU RN for a 13-week assignment in Saint Louis, MO. The role focuses on post-anesthesia care, recovering patients from anesthesia and surgery, and coordinating post-operative plans with the surgical team.

This travel position offers 40 hours/week, day shifts, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and licensure reimbursement.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a PACU RN.
• Valid RN license compliant with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients transferring from the operating room and evaluate post-anesthesia condition.
• Monitor vital signs, level of consciousness, and recovery from anesthesia.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments using post-anesthesia techniques.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and recovery progress in medical records.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure comprehensive post-operative care.
• Deliver individualized discharge instructions and educate patients and families.
