Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced PACU RN for a fast-paced evening shift in Chicago, requiring an active IL license and PACU/ASU recovery experience with Cardiac Cath.

The role includes Pre-Op, Post-Op, and Phase 1 PACU responsibilities, 8-hour shifts starting at 10am or 11am, and a 6-week contract with local candidates welcomed at the same rate. Epic EMR experience is required and must be noted in employment history.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN license is required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 3+ years of solid core staff experience in an acute care setting.
• At least 2 successful travel contracts required.
• Experience in PACU and ASU recovery, including Cardiac Cath.
• Epic EMR experience required and to be noted in employment history.
• 2 current professional references from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge in PACU within the last year.
• Updated skills checklist required.
• New graduates will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Fast-paced PACU unit recovering Cath Lab, GI, IR, and surgical patients.
• Covers Pre-op, Post-op, and Phase 1 PACU care.
• Evening shift, 8-hour shifts with 10am or 11am starts.
• Floating required within the PACU department.
• No on-call or holiday requirements.
• 6-week contract assignment.
• Must be punctual and ready to work at the start of each shift, as tardiness is not tolerated.
• Looking for a seasoned, team-oriented PACU nurse with a positive attitude.
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate.
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be away for 12 months before being eligible as a traveler.
• RTO for this 6-week contract is limited based on contract length guidelines
