Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel PACU RN for a 13-week assignment in Paris, Tennessee. You will provide specialized post-anesthesia care, monitor recovery, administer medications, and collaborate with the surgical team to support safe discharge and transport of patients.

The role emphasizes vigilant assessment, documentation, and adherence to standards, with competitive pay, benefits, and a dedicated clinical team ready to support you on assignment.

Qualifications

• One year of PACU RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients transferring from the operating room and evaluate post-anesthesia condition.
• Monitor vital signs, consciousness, and recovery from anesthesia.
• Administer prescribed meds and treatments per post-anesthesia nursing techniques.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety during recovery.
• Document assessments and interventions in medical records accurately.
• Collaborate with surgical team and other providers for comprehensive post-operative care.
• Coordinate handoffs between OR, PACU, and post-PACU units to ensure continuity of care.
• Operate PACU equipment such as ventilators and infusion pumps.
