Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced PACU RN with a current CA license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS for an ambulatory surgery and recovery setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in the PACU unit of an acute care hospital
• Combined ambulatory surgery and recovery patient population
• Day shifts available with 5x8 hour schedules and variable start times from 8:00 to 11:00
• Required to adhere to a 50-mile radius rule for eligibility
• Responsible for assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for ambulatory surgery and recovery patients
• Involves direct patient care, patient/family education, and managing transitions of care
• Must foster effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team
• Only one holiday request for time off (RTO) will be approved during assignment
• Availability required for lab work within 3-5 days of signing the agreement

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS certifications required
