Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel assignment in Albuquerque, NM. This 13-week OT travel role requires 1 year of OTA experience and offers 40 hours per week, with 8-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities include delivering therapy under the supervising OT, monitoring progress, documenting results, assisting with exercises and mobility, and educating patients and families to improve daily living skills while adhering to licensing and facility

Qualifications

• 1 year of OTA experience required.
• Current BLS and NBCOT COTA certification required.
• State licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities under the supervising OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT.
• Document patient performance and progress accurately and timely per guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and adhere to facility and professional standards.
