Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for an assignment in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The OT will evaluate patients, develop a plan of care, and implement treatment aimed at improving daily living skills in acute care settings.

Must have NBCOT-OTR and state license, with 6 months minimum experience; exceptional candidates with appropriate background may be considered. The role offers a 13-week duration, 34 hours per week, and 6-hour daytime shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have BLS and NBCOT-OTR with state-specific licensing.
• 6 months minimum OT experience; 1 year preferred; new grads may apply.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history and observe tasks to assess needs.
• Evaluate condition and develop a plan of care for daily living goals.
• Create treatment plans and determine activities to reach goals.
• Assist patients with daily tasks and assess home/workplace needs.
• Educate family and employer on care and accommodations.
• Recommend equipment and train patients on use.
• Document progress and complete required reporting.
