Job summary

TNAA TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Occupational Therapist Assistant for a Big Spring, TX assignment. The OTAs work under an OT to help patients develop daily living skills and functional abilities. Strong communication and alignment with treatment plans are essential.

Requirements include 1 year OTA experience, BLS, and NBCOT (COTA); state licensure is required. This travel role offers 40 hours weekly with an 8-hour day shift and paid travel benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of OTA experience.
• Current BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certification required.
• State licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions under supervision of the OT.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT.
• Document patient performance and progress per facility/state guidelines.
• Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support coordinated care.
• Comply with state licensing rules and professional standards.
