Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist Assistant for a travel assignment in Medina, Tennessee. The OTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to help patients develop, improve, or recover daily living skills and functional abilities.

Requirements include 1 year of OTA experience, current BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certification, and state licensure. This travel role involves 32 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, and a 13-week assignment with OT support and

Must have 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Current BLS and NBCOT (COTA) certification are required.
State licensure is required.

Responsibilities

Deliver therapeutic activities and interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
Monitor patient progress and report observations to the OT for treatment plan adjustments.
Document patient performance and progress accurately and timely per facility guidelines.
Assist patients with exercises, mobility training, and use of adaptive equipment.
Educate patients and families on techniques to improve independence in daily activities.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care.
Comply with state licensing rules and professional standards.
