American Traveler is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a Long Term Care position in Missouri. This 13-week assignment offers 40 hours per week with dayshift opportunities.

Prior LTC or SNF experience and an active OT license are required, with new grads considered if Level II fieldwork is completed. The role involves evaluating patients, providing rehabilitative treatment, documentation, and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Active OT license required.
• Minimum 1 year OT experience.
• LTC or SNF setting experience required.
• New grads may apply if Level II fieldwork completed.
• Resume and skills checklist within 1 year required.
• 1 reference required at submission.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL disorders and develop plans of care.
• Provide rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment interventions including ADL retraining and therapeutic activities.
• Use standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide interventions.
• Assess progress, adjust treatment plans, and evaluate outcomes.
• Provide consultation to patients, families, caregivers and other providers.
• Communicate with supervisors and healthcare team regarding patient progress and plans.
• Provide discharge summaries and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic system.
• Participate in patient care conferences and rehabilitation meetings.
• Supervise OT aides and students; adhere to NBCOT and state acts.
