Job summary

Powerback is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our Journey Traveler program. The OTA will travel nationwide for 13-week assignments, implementing occupational therapy programs and facilitating increased independence under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

Duties include attending patient care conferences, documenting services, coordinating with the rehab team, instructing patients and families, and maintaining proper records.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA & ACOTE standards.
• Initial NBCOT certification required or eligible.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure in the practice state.
• Willing and able to travel nationwide for assignments.

Responsibilities

• Travel nationwide for 13-week assignments and provide OT services under supervision.
• Attend patient care conferences and contribute to therapy plans.
• Document services timely and maintain patient records.
• Collaborate with rehab team to develop and implement treatment programs.
• Instruct patients and families in OT techniques and home programs.
• Ensure equipment is safe and well-maintained.
