Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Occupational Therapist for assignments in Matawan, New Jersey. This role requires evaluating patients, developing plans of care, and implementing therapies to improve daily living skills in acute care settings. Strong communication with families and care teams is essential.

The position is a 13-week travel assignment, averaging 30 hours per week with 10-hour day shifts. Candidates should have NBCOT-OTR, BLS, and state licensure, with a minimum 6 months of OT

Qualifications

OT requires valid BLS and NBCOT-OTR credentials with state licensure.
Minimum 6 months of OT experience; exceptional candidates with 6 months may be considered.
Ability to stand/walk for long periods and understand anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

Evaluate patients and develop plans of care to improve daily living skills.
Review medical history, assess needs, and set goals for treatment.
Create and document treatment plans, educate family and employer on care needs.
Recommend equipment and ensure documentation meets guidelines and reporting requirements.
