Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Brick Township, NJ. The role requires 1 year of experience (6 months accepted for exceptional candidates) with BLS and NBCOT-OTR certification and state licensing. Expect 10-hour shifts, 30 hours/week, and a tax-free stipend as part of the package.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing care plans, educating families, and documenting progress per guidelines in an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of experience; new grads welcome.
• BLS and NBCOT-OTR national certification with state-specific licensing.
• OTs must stand/walk for long periods and have knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history, ask questions and observe tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan with specific goals and activities.
• Help patients with various disabilities perform tasks.
• Assess home/work environment for potential improvements.
• Educate patient family and employer on accommodations and care.
• Recommend equipment and educate on its use.
• Document activities and progress for evaluations and billing.
• Provide timely documentation following state/insurance guidelines.
