Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN in Orthopedics for a 13-week assignment in Saint Cloud, Minnesota. The selected RN will work 36 hours per week, on 12-hour night shifts, in a travel capacity.

BLS and 3 years of acute care experience are required, with additional certifications potentially needed before starting the assignment. The role involves bedside patient care, medication administration, wound care, patient education, and discharge planning in a fast-paced Med/Surg environment.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• 3 years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients including pre- and post-op
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examinations and treatments
• Educate patients and families about procedures and post-care
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans
