Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Orthopedics for a travel nursing job in Gallatin, Tennessee. This role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience, BLS and ACLS, and offers a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift.

As a MedSurg/Ortho travel nurse, you will assess patients, document findings, and educate families while ensuring safe, high-quality care. TotalMed RN supports travelers with benefits and a focus on staffing facilities across the country.

Qualifications

• RN with 1–2 years acute care experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 13-week travel assignment in Gallatin, TN with 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Administer and record prescribed medications, report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and post-care.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education as prescribed.
