Job summary

Westrock Orthodontics is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to join our Travel Team, working across two vibrant clinics with 1–2 travel days per week to our Texarkana location. Hours run from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with travel time fully paid.

You will support doctors chairside during treatments, perform appliance placements, take digital impressions, and educate patients. We value a proactive, patient-centered teammate with orthodontic experience and the ability to travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in dental or orthodontic assisting; orthodontic experience preferred.
• Familiarity with orthodontic appliances and patient workflow.
• Willingness to travel between Hot Springs and Texarkana clinics.

Responsibilities

• Chairside care during exams and treatments with orthodontists.
• Place and remove archwires, coils, bands, retainers, attachments.
• Use 3D scanners for impressions and assist in appliance fabrication.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and appliance care.
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, ensure smooth turnover.
• Maintain accurate treatment notes for continuity of care.

This role includes 1–2 travel days per week to our Texarkana location with hours running from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM. To ensure your journey is as smooth as it is rewarding, we provide a comfortable team travel van and fully pay you for all travel time. As a key partner to our Orthodontists, you will deliver seamless clinical care while creating a warm, uplifting environment for every patient who walks through our doors.

• Clinical Excellence & Doctor Support: Work chairside alongside the Orthodontist during comprehensive exams and advanced orthodontic treatments, ensuring seamless appointment flow and maximum patient comfort.
• Hands-On Technical Care: Precision-execute expanded clinical functions under direct doctor supervision, including the placement and removal of archwires, coil springs, bands, retainers, and attachments.
• Digital Innovation: Utilize cutting-edge 3D digital scanners to take high-precision impressions and assist in the fabrication of custom appliances and aligners.
• Patient Empowerment & Education: Serve as an educator and advocate for our patients—guiding them through their treatment journeys, explaining proper oral hygiene, and troubleshooting appliance care so they leave every appointment feeling informed and inspired.
• Operatory & Workflow Management: Prepare state-of-the-art treatment suites, meticulously sterilize instruments adhering to strict safety protocols, and maintain smooth clinical room turnarounds.
• Precision Documentation: Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely patient records and treatment notes to guarantee continuity of care.
