Job summary

Westrock Orthodontics in Batesville, AR is seeking a talented Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. You will assist the Orthodontist with patients to ensure high-quality care under supervision. Prepare operatories, sterilize equipment, place/remove wires and appliances, and support digital scans and appliance fabrication. Training provided if you’re new to orthodontics.

We value a collaborative team, patient education, and a commitment to exceptional care. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Ortho or Dental experience preferred but not required; training provided.
• Familiarity with orthodontic appliances and terminology is a plus.
• Travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Orthodontist during exams and treatments, ensuring patient comfort.
• Prepare operatories, sterilize equipment, and support clinical workflows to maximize efficiency.
• Place/remove wires, coil springs, bands, and retainers under direct supervision.
• Conduct digital scans and assist in fabricating customized appliances and retainers.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and appliance care to ensure informed decisions.
• Record treatment notes and collaborate with the team to deliver outstanding care.

We're looking for a talented and caring Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. If you're a motivated team player with a dental or orthodontic assisting background, we’d love to meet you!

As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will assist the Orthodontist with patients to ensure the highest quality of care is provided. Perform clinical and technical procedures under the direct supervision of a licensed Orthodontist. Prepare patient operatories, equipment, and assist the doctor during examination and ortho treatment.

What You'll Do

• Assist the Orthodontist during exams and treatments, ensuring patients are comfortable and procedures run smoothly.
• Prepare operatories, sterilize equipment, and support clinical workflows to maximize efficiency.
• Perform orthodontic procedures such as placing/removing wires, coil springs, bands, and retainers under direct supervision.
• Conduct digital scans and assist in fabricating customized appliances and retainers.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, oral hygiene, and appliance care to ensure they are fully informed and confident.
• Record treatment notes accurately and collaborate with the team to deliver outstanding care throughout the patient’s journey.
• This position may require some travel.

What We're Looking For

Ortho or Dental experience preferred but not required. Will train the right candidate. Familiarity with orthodontic appliances, procedures, and terminology is a plus.
