Job summary

TotalMed is seeking an OR Travel Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in Hickory, North Carolina. This travel role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience as a circulating or scrub nurse, with RN first assistant potential.

You will support surgeons, prepare instruments, monitor patients, and educate families before discharge. Expect 40 hours weekly, 8-hour day shifts, and a tax-free stipend as part of the travel package.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience as circulating nurse, scrub nurse, and potential RN first assistant.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required before start.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery care and education to patients.
• Handle instrument prep and support for circulating/scrub roles.
• Monitor patient during surgery and respond to complications with the team.
