Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel assignment in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. The RN will work 40 hours per week, with 8-hour day shifts, for a 13-week assignment in an Operating Room setting.

Requirements include 18 months of acute care surgery experience, active RN license, a nursing degree, and BLS/ACLS certifications. Travel compensation details will be provided by the recruiter.

• Active RN License
• Degree from an accredited nursing program
• BLS & ACLS Certifications

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing the nursing care patients receive before, during and after surgery.
• The OR nurse / OR RN also serves as patient educator, circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse.
• Circulating OR nurses work within the operating suite but outside of the sterile field.
• Scrub OR nurses handle and prepare operating instruments and equipment within the sterile field.
