Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an OR travel nurse to join a 13-week assignment in Appleton, Wisconsin. The position offers 40 hours per week with rotating 8-hour shifts, and requires circulating/scrub RN experience and OR certification readiness.

The RN will support surgeons and staff, perform pre- and post-surgery care, and may function as RN first assistant where applicable. Expected start date and exact duties vary by assignment and site.

Qualifications

• RN with OR experience preferred.
• 1–2 years acute care experience as circulating/scrub RN.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS required; additional certifications may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Serve as liaison between patients, family and operating team.
• Ensure correct procedure is performed and patient safety is prioritized.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and home management.
• Assist with instrument handling and intraoperative support as applicable.
