Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel assignment in Baltimore, Maryland. The position requires 18 months of acute care surgery experience, an active RN license, and a nursing degree from an accredited program. BLS & ACLS certifications are required.

The travel role offers 40 hours per week, 10-hour days, and a 13-week duration, with weekly pay, housing options, and comprehensive benefits through MedPro Staffing.

Qualifications

• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Surgery setting.
• Active RN license in good standing.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS & ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing the nursing care patients receive before, during and after surgery.
• The OR nurse / OR RN also serves as patient educator, circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse.
• Circulating OR nurses work within the operating suite but outside of the sterile field.
• Scrub OR nurses handle and prepare operating instruments and equipment within the sterile field.
