TotalMed RN is seeking an Operating Room travel nurse in Billings, MT to support operating room teams as a circulating or scrub RN, and potentially an RN first assistant.

The assignment lasts 13 weeks with 40 hours per week, 10-hour day shifts. Requirements include 2 years acute care experience and BLS/ACLS certifications. Duties cover perioperative care, patient education, and collaboration with surgeons and staff.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 2 years of acute care experience as circulating, scrub, or RN first assistant.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications, reporting any adverse reactions.
• Serve as liaison between patients’ families and operating team.
• Ensure correct procedures are performed on the correct patient.
• Initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
