Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Billings, Montana. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience as a circulating nurse, and/or scrub nurse, and potentially RN first assistant.

As an OR Travel Nurse, you will assist physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients, as well as providing pre- and post-surgery care and education to the patient.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience as a circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse, and potentially RN first assistant.
• Basic OR duties and patient care responsibilities in a surgical setting.
• Current certifications like BLS and ACLS may be required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and assist in OR as circulating or scrub nurse.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Serve as liaison between patient's family and operating team.
• Educate patients and families on home care and medication management.
