Job summary
TotalMed RN is seeking an Operating Room travel nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in San Luis Obispo, CA. The position requires 1-2 years of acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurse, and may include RN first assistant duties. 40 hours per week, days shift, travel employment.
As an OR RN on assignment, you will assist physicians, provide pre- and post-surgery care, handle instruments, monitor patients, and ensure safe procedures. Benefits include weekly pay and guaranteed hours.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurse
- RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications are required or preferred
- Willingness to travel and commit to a 13-week assignment in San Luis Obispo, CA
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients
- Provide pre- and post-surgery care and education to patients
- Serve as circulating, scrub, or RN first assistant as needed
- Prepare instruments and equipment, maintain sterile field
- Monitor patient during surgery and respond to complications
- Assist with patient education and home care planning
