Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Tucson, Arizona. The assignment runs for 13 weeks with a 36-hour workweek and 8-hour shifts.

The candidate must have 18 months of Acute Care Surgery experience, an active RN license, and a degree from an accredited nursing program, plus BLS and ACLS certifications. Travel housing and benefits are included and credentialing fees are covered.

• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Surgery setting.
• Active RN License.
• BLS & ACLS Certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing the nursing care patients receive before, during and after surgery.
• The OR nurse / OR RN also serves as patient educator, circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse.
• Circulating OR nurses work within the operating suite but outside of the sterile field.
• Scrub OR nurses handle and prepare operating instruments and equipment within the sterile field.
