Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel OR RN for open-heart surgery assignments in Passaic, NJ. Requires at least one year perioperative experience, NJ or compact RN license, and BLS/ACLS certs. The job features a 13-week duration, 40-hour weeks, with 8-hour days and on-call requirements.

Responsibilities include collaborating with surgical and anesthesia teams, coordinating with OR staff, and ensuring patient safety and efficient flow. Travel perks and licensure reimbursements available.

Qualifications

• Experienced OR nurse with perioperative background and NJ or compact RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS; PALS within 30 days of hire.
• CNOR and BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Surgery department as an OR nurse.
• Coordinate care with surgical and anesthesia teams.
• Direct and guide OR technicians and support staff.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and contribute to quality patient care.
• Take call 1–2 times per week and one weekend every fifth weekend.
