Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with open-heart experience for a day shift in a New Jersey hospital. Requires NJ or compact RN license and 13-week travel assignment with a 7:00 to 15:00 day shift.

The role involves perioperative care across patient ages, on-call duties, and collaboration with surgeons and anesthesiologists. Travel compensation and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Active NJ or compact RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years Operating Room RN experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or Red Cross).
• PALS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Open-heart OR experience required.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• DCI/BVP workplace violence prevention certification (can be completed online).
• Perioperative experience or on-the-job training required.

Responsibilities

• Care for perioperative patients including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and older adults.
• Day shift schedule, 07:00–15:00, Monday to Friday.
• 13-week assignment with on-call duties.
• Work with surgeons, anesthesiologists and OR technicians.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and unit meetings.
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate.
