Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel OR RN for a 13-week assignment in Columbus, OH. The RN will support a 12-hour night shift, 36 hours per week, and operate in a fast-paced perioperative environment.

The role requires one year of OR RN experience, valid RN license, and current BLS. ACLS/PALS/ENPC and CNOR are preferred. The position offers travel benefits and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• ACLS (AHA/ARC), PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certifications are preferred.
• OR Nursing Certification (CNOR) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room by ensuring all required instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready and functional.
• Assists in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Maintains a sterile field and adheres to infection control protocols.
• Anticipates needs of the surgical team and provides instruments and supplies promptly.
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and notifies the surgeon of changes.
• Documents all aspects of patient care in the perioperative setting accurately.
