Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Gilbert, AZ. You will prepare the OR, assist the surgical team, and ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative process.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS, and OR experience, with CNOR and ACLS/PALS preferred. This travel assignment offers 40 hours per week on days, competitive compensation, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Valid RN license in accordance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• ACLS, PALS or ENPC certifications are preferred.
• CNOR certification and other licenses may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room with instruments and sterile supplies.
• Position and prep patients for surgery, ensuring safety.
• Maintain sterile field and follow infection control protocols.
• Assist surgical team by providing instruments and supplies timely.
• Monitor patient condition during surgery and document changes.
• Handle instruments, sterilization, and disposal per protocols.
• Collect, label, and transport specimens as required.
• Document care in perioperative records and handoff information.
• Support turnover and restock the operating room between cases.
