Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for an evening shift contract in a Level 1 trauma hospital. The role requires active KS or Compact RN licensure, BLS, and at least 2 years of OR experience with strong scrub skills, including DaVinci robot cases and complex head/neck, neuro spine, and ex lap procedures.

The position includes a mid-shift 10:30am-9:00pm schedule, four 10-hour shifts weekly, with on-call duties and holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• Active KS or Compact RN license.
• Current BLS certification (AHA).
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required.
• Level 1 trauma experience required.
• Strong scrub experience required.
• Experience with DaVinci robot cases, large head and neck cases, neuro spine, and ex lap cases required.
• Previous travel experience preferred.
• Experience in ortho, general, trauma, gyn, urology, or plastics preferred.
• New graduates will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Bell OR Unit setting within a Level 1 trauma hospital.
• Mid-shift schedule of 10:30am-9:00pm, four 10-hour shifts weekly (Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri).
• No weekend requirement, except for on-call duties.
• Holiday coverage required if a holiday falls on a scheduled workday.
• Floating required to all operating rooms.
• On-call required, up to 6 shifts per 13-week contract.
• Perform scrub duties across a variety of complex surgical specialties.
• New employee orientation held Monday/Tuesday followed by department of nursing orientation and EPIC training Wednesday-Friday, held bi-weekly.
