Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an Operating Room travel nurse in Duluth, Minnesota for an 11-week assignment. The role requires 32 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts, and travel employment status.

The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of acute care OR experience as circulating or scrub nurse, possibly RN first assistant, with BLS/ACLS credentials. The OR travel nurse will support physicians and staff with perioperative care, instrument handling, patient monitoring, and post-op education.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years acute care OR experience as circulating or scrub nurse, and/or RN first assistant.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Administer and document medications and report adverse reactions.
• Act as liaison between patients, families and operating team.
• Ensure correct procedure is performed on the correct patient.
• Initiate patient education for post-op care and home meds.
