Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN for OR in Boston, MA. This 13-week assignment offers a 40-hour work week, nights shift, and the opportunity to contribute to perioperative care.

The OR RN will prepare the operating room, maintain sterile technique, assist with patient positioning, and collaborate with the surgical team while following safety and infection control protocols. Valid RN license and BLS are required; ACLS/PALS/CNOR are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of OR RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room and ensures instruments are ready and sterile.
• Assists in positioning patients and maintains comfort and safety.
• Maintains sterile field and follows infection control protocols.
• Anticipates surgical team needs and provides instruments promptly.
• Monitors patient condition and communicates with the surgeon.
• Documents perioperative care accurately and thoroughly.
• Participates in handoff communication before and after surgery.
