Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an Operating Room travel nurse in Statesboro, GA for a 13-week assignment starting 09/28/2026. The role offers 40 hours per week on 10-hour day shifts with a travel-friendly package.

Ideal candidates will have 1–2 years of acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurses, and possibly RN first assistant, with ACLS/BLS certifications. The position involves assisting surgeons and delivering perioperative patient care.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years acute care experience as circulating or scrub nurse.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• RN license active and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and monitor patient status during procedures.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications as needed.
• Serve as liaison between patient/family and operating team.
• Verify correct procedure and site for each patient.
• Educate patient and family on post-surgical care and home meds.
• Assist with suctioning, instrument handling and specimen management.
• Support surgical team as needed during various OR roles.
