Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing seeks a travel nurse RN in the OR for Cedar Park, TX. This 13-week assignment offers 40 hours per week, day shifts, and travel benefits. You’ll work as OR RN with duties before/during/after surgery and may educate patients.

The ideal candidate has 18 months recent acute care surgery experience, active RN license, BLS & ACLS, and a nursing degree. We provide weekly pay, private housing or housing allowance, and comprehensive credentialing support.

Qualifications

• 18 months of recent experience in an Acute Care Surgery setting
• Active RN License
• Degree from an accredited nursing program
• BLS & ACLS Certifications

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing the nursing care patients receive before, during and after surgery.
• The OR nurse / OR RN also serves as patient educator, circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse.
• Circulating OR nurses work within the operating suite but outside of the sterile field.
• Scrub OR nurses handle and prepare operating instruments and equipment within the sterile field.
