Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The position requires 40 hours per week, nights, and 13-week duration with travel benefits.

The OR RN will assist physicians and medical staff, support pre- and post-surgery care, and may function as circulating, scrub, or RN first assistant as needed. Requirements include ACLS, BLS, PALS and 2 years of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications required.
• 2 years of recent acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care in the OR setting.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Serve as liaison between patient families and operating team.
• Ensure correct procedures are performed on the correct patient.
• Initiate and educate patients on postoperative care and home needs.
• Assist with surgical care as RN first assistant if needed.
