Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a 13-week travel assignment in Akron, OH. The OR RN will prepare the operating room, assist with patient positioning, and support a multi-disciplinary surgical team to ensure safe, efficient perioperative care.

The role requires one year of OR RN experience, active RN license, and BLS certification. Preferred credentials include ACLS/PALS or CNOR.

Qualifications

• One year of recent OR RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with instruments, equipment and sterile supplies for each procedure.
• Assists in patient positioning and prep per procedural requirements.
• Maintains sterile field and follows infection control protocols throughout procedures.
• ANTICIPATES the surgical team’s needs and provides instruments and supplies promptly.
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and reports changes to the surgeon.
• Handles, sterilizes, and disposes of surgical instruments per facility protocols.
• Documents perioperative patient care and participates in handoffs pre/post operation.
