Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is an 16‑week assignment offering 40 hours per week with evenings shifts on a travel basis.

The OR RN will work as circulating, scrubbing, or first assistant per assignment needs and will involve pre- and post-surgery care and patient education. Requirements include BLS and 4 years of nursing experience; travel experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active RN license is required.
• BLS certification required.
• 4 years of experience in nursing or acute care; travel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication; report adverse reactions.
• Serve as liaison between patients’ families and operating team.
• Ensure correct procedure is performed on the correct patient.
• Initiate and educate patients and families on home care and medications.
