Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Corpus Christi, Texas. The role requires 13 weeks of work, 40 hours per week, with days shifts and travel employment.

Quoted requirements include ACLS and BLS and 1 year of additional certifications as needed. The OR Travel Nurse will support surgeons and staff in perioperative care, with duties spanning circulating and scrub roles as well as potential RN first assistant responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience as a circulating nurse or scrub nurse.
• RN first assistant experience is a plus.
• ACLS and BLS required or as stated

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting adverse reactions.
• Serve as liaison between patients' families and operating team.
• Ensure the correct procedure is performed on the correct patient.
• Initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
