Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Berlin, New Hampshire. This OR travel role requires ACLS, BLS, PALS and 2+ years of acute care RN experience, with duties spanning circulating, scrub and RN first assistant responsibilities.

The traveler will assist surgical teams, provide pre- and post‑op care, and educate patients and families. Expect 36 hours per week across 9‑hour shifts, with a travel assignment of approximately 13 weeks.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, PALS required.
• 2+ years acute care experience as circulating/scrub RN or RNFA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Serve as liaison between patients, families and operating team.
• Ensure correct procedure is performed on the patient.
• Initiate patient education for medication and home care.
• Circulating RN duties: patient comfort and safety; specimen handling; monitor equipment; pre/post‑procedure inventory.
• Scrub RN duties: instrument selection and handling; inventory management.
• RN First Assistant duties: assist physicians, control bleeding, suture post‑op.
