Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for an assignment in Indiana, PA. The role requires 1-2 years of acute care experience as a circulating or scrub nurse, with potential RN first assistant responsibilities. Travel status with 12-hour day shifts and 36 hours per week.

BLS and certifications as required will be confirmed at assignment. As an OR Travel Nurse, you’ll support surgical teams, manage meds, and educate patients pre- and post-op, with additional duties for

Qualifications

• 1-2 years acute care experience as circulating or scrub RN, and possibly RNFA.
• BLS required; additional certifications may be needed before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and surgical team in caring for patients before, during, and after surgery.
• Prepare, administer and record medications; monitor patient responses.
• Serve as liaison between patients’ families and operating team.
• Ensure correct procedure is performed on the correct patient; document care.
• Educate patients and families on home care and medication management.
