Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a travel OR RN for a 13-week assignment in Normal, IL. The role emphasizes perioperative patient care, room preparation, and team collaboration within a dynamic surgical environment.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with sterile instruments and supplies for each procedure.
• Assists in patient positioning, anesthesia induction readiness, and team coordination.
• Maintains a sterile field and adheres to infection control protocols throughout cases.
• Anticipates needs of the surgical team and supports instrument and supply management.
• Documents perioperative care accurately and communicates handoffs.
• Cleans and restocks the operating room between cases and ensures turnover efficiency.
• Adheres to facility policies, PPE usage, and safety standards.
• Performs other duties within scope of practice as assigned.
