Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Crosby, MN. You will join a dedicated clinical team, providing perioperative patient care and ensuring safety and efficiency in the operating room.

The role requires one year of OR RN experience, an active RN license, and current BLS certification; ACLS/PALS/ENPC and CNOR are preferred. Travel pay and comprehensive benefits accompany this assignment to support travel nurses.

Qualifications

• One year of recent OR RN experience.
• Valid RN license in accordance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• ACLS (AHA/ARC), PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certifications preferred.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with required instruments and supplies.
• Positions patients for surgery and ensures comfort and safety.
• Maintains a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Anticipates needs of the surgical team and provides instruments and supplies.
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and communicates changes to the surgeon.
• Handles instruments and supplies, ensuring proper use and sterilization.
• Manages specimen collection and transport per protocols.
• Documents all perioperative patient care activities.
• Participates in handoffs pre- and post-operation for continuity of care.
• Assists in room turnover and restocking between cases.
